What you can do

  • Inspect supported PCB geometry and layer connections.
  • Explore electrical power distribution with a multilayer model.
  • Review numerical estimates alongside model and import limitations.

Features & availability

TraceFlow is in development. The current build supports selected Gerber, drill, IPC-2581, and Altium data, with multilayer electrical analysis and a thermal estimate. Format coverage and full-board results still require validation. The free website tools cover simpler trace, via, and stencil models.

CapabilityCurrent status
Gerber and drill interpretationIn development; selected formats supported
IPC-2581 and Altium dataPartial support; supported subsets to be documented
Multilayer network analysisIn development; full-board validation pending
Thermal estimationPreliminary estimate; thermal verification required

Try a worked example

The free trace and via calculators provide simple DC estimates. They use the supplied PCBA Workbench engine, not the full TraceFlow board solver.

Read a complete example from the free website calculator, including its inputs, equations, calculation record, and assumptions. Save the JSON record or print it for review.
